Brian Walsh, Managing Partner

Brian Walsh is the Managing Partner of Securian Capital of the Chesapeake. He began his financial services career 25 years ago after graduating from Stony Brook University. It was as a freshman in college when Brian recognized how important financial planning is. His friend's father died suddenly at 43, leaving (he thought) no money to complete her education. Her father, unbeknownst to her had a life insurance policy, which thankfully provided enough money so she was able to finish college. It was what led him to the insurance/financial services industry.

Brian began his professional career with Prudential where he quickly was promoted to sales manager. In 2002, he joined MetLife as an Agency Sales Director where he was a nine times management conference qualifier and in 2013, Brian became a Managing Director. He managed over 100 employees in MD,DC and VA. Excited to capitalize on his depth of industry knowledge, he founded Securian Capital of the Chesapeake in 2015.

As a leader, Brian's team describes him as consultative, a great mentor and coach, hands on, driven to be the best, problem solver, adaptable, fair-minded and pioneering. To note just a few of his accolades, Brian is a perennial GAMA Management Platinum Award recipient and was named one of Fairfield County's "40 under 40," which recognizes leading professionals in Fairfield County, CT under the age of 40.*

Brian lives in Hunt Valley with his wife Jill and their two sons, Matthew and Andrew.

Brian is a registered representative and investment advisor representative of Securian Financial Services, Inc.
